  • DMRC Training Institute conducted 3 weeks training on Basic Signalling for S&T executives of DFCCIL (Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India) from 02nd June, 2014 to 21st June, 2014. The training included classroom sessions and field visits.
  • DMRC Training Institute organised a seminar on “Passenger Safety: Our Commitment” on 20th June, 2014 exclusively for trainees to emphasize need & awareness on the topic for understanding of employees. The seminar received good participation with 13 nos. of participants and winners were suitably awarded.
  • In DMRC’s ever continued endeavour towards accomplishment of stated vision & mission of organization, DLITE (Do Lasting Improvement in Travel Experience)- an initiative for achieving excellence in customer services has been launched. The idea is to generate a second wave of customer service improvement in DMRC to take the level of service to a level beyond expectations of customers. A total of 21 nominated staff from CRA, SC & SM/ASM cadre undergone 3 days training from 16th June, 2014 to 18th June, 2014 in the first batch organised by DMRC Training Institute.

  • To provide better facilities for the visitors and guests for various prestigious programs like Management Development Program, canteen in Shastri Park Train Depot has been extended and has been suitably furnished.
  • On the occasion of World Environment Day – 2014, a quiz competition was held in Training Institute on 03rd June. 2014 comprising five teams of different ongoing batches. Each team consisted of three participants. Winners and runner-ups were suitably awarded by the Managing Director on 05th June, 2014 at Metro Bhawan.
  • A drawing & painting competition for the children of staff & officers of DMRC was held under the aegis of DMRC Training Institute on the occasion of World Environment Day – 2014 on 03rd June. 2014. The competition was held in two categories i.e. Group A for children from 5 years up to 10 years of age and Group B for more than 10 years & up to 15 years of age. The topic for the competition was “Environment and Water Conservation”. The competition received overwhelming response with 122 numbers of participants in both the categories. The winning participants were suitably awarded by the Managing Director on 05th June, 2014 at Metro Bhawan.
  • A competency building workshop on “Energy Conservation” was organised by DMRC Training Institute on 20th May, 2014 for 27 nos. of Senior Supervisors of O&M.
  • A one day workshop for SAG and JAG grade officers of O&M was organised under the aegis of DMRC Training Institute on 17th May, 2014 at Conference Hall, 7th Floor, Metro Bhawan, Fire Brigade Lane, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi - 110001. The program received good participation with 51 nos. of participants who appreciated and gave encouraging feedbacks to the program.
  • A valedictory function was organised on 09th Apr. 2014 for sixteen trainees Station Controller / Train Operators ‘C’ Batch of CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.) and for seven trainees Station Controller / Train Operators of JMRC (Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation) on completion of training.
  • A drawing & painting competition for the children of staff & officers of DMRC was held under the aegis of DMRC Training Institute in Shastri Park Train Depot Workshop Area on 05th Apr. 2014 in two categories i.e. Group A of age : from 5 years up to 10 years and Group B of age: more than 10 years & up to 15 years. The competition received overwhelming response with 113 number of participants in both the categories and was attended by Sh. Sharat Sharma (Director/Operations), Sh. S. K. Sinha (GM/HR), Sh. Amit Kr. Jain (JGM/TO & Principal/Trg.Instt.) & other officers. The winning participants were suitable awarded along with shields and certificates. A memento of participation was given to every participant.
  • DMRC Training Institute organised a four day outsourced Trainers’ Development Programme for second batch, with an aim to further augment training skills and capabilities for delivery of effective training for twenty three Training Managers / Coordinators / Guest faculties. The programme was conducted by Centre for Skill Development & Training, All India Management Association (AIMA) from 25th to 28th Mar. 2014.
  • DMRC organised a forum on the topic “Consumer Right : Our Duties” on 15th Mar. 2014 at DMRC Training Institute Auditorium, Shastri Park Train Depot, Delhi. The forum received overwhelming response from the employees and the winning participants were awarded suitably.
  • DMRC Training Institute successfully conducted 3rd Management Development Programme on “Rail Based Urban Transportation” from 03rd Mar., 2014 to 08th Mar., 2014. More details can be found here>>>.MDP-III
  • On occasion of International Women’s Day a seminar on women empowerment was organised in Auditorium, DMRC Training Institute, Shastri Park, New Delhi-110054 on 07th Mar., 2014. Main speaker was Mrs. Bulbul Das, Advocate Hon’ble High Court of Delhi & a renowned social worker, who is also a member of SCC in DMRC.
  • Thirty numbers of Trainee Officers of the Delhi Judicial Service visited DMRC Training Institute on 25th Feb., 2014. They saw the training facilities along with the Train Simulators and Trouble-shooting & Maintenance Simulators (TSMS). Also they had an interaction with Sh. Amit Kr. Jain, IRTS, Principal/Trg.Instt.

  • In order to develop team building spirit and to encourage extracurricular activities amongst the trainees, a quiz competition was held on 20th Feb., 2014 among four teams of selected trainees of different ongoing batches. Winners and runner-ups were awarded suitably. The competition was attended by Sh. Amit Kr. Jain, IRTS, Principal/Trg.Instt. and Sh. Sasanka Sarmah, DGM/HR(O&M)-I.
  • A valedictory function was organised on 17th Feb. 2014 for forty one trainees of CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.) comprising of Junior Engineers (Civil), Technicians (Civil) & Station Controller / Train Operators ‘B’ Batch and for two trainees of JMRC (Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation) comprising of Junior Engineers (Civil) on completion of training.
  • A delegation of six members from Department of Railways, Govt. Of Nepal visited DMRC Training Institute on 14th Feb., 2014. The delegation saw the training facilities along with the Train Simulators and Trouble-shooting & Maintenance Simulators (TSMS). Also they had an interaction with Sh. Amit Kr. Jain, IRTS, Principal/Trg.Instt.
  • One week (Five days) customised training on “Familiarization with Metro Terminology” was organised from 03rd Feb. 2014 to 07th Feb. 2014 for nineteen nos. of executives of L&T Infotech.
  • A valedictory function organised on 31st Jan. 2014 for sixty three trainees of CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.) comprising of Station Controller/Train Operators, Junior Engineers (S&T) and Technicians (S&T), on completion of training.
  • DMRC Training Institute organised a four day outsourced Trainers’ Development Programme, with an aim to further augment training skills and capabilities for delivery of effective training for twenty five Training Managers/Coordinators/Guest faculties. The programme was conducted by Centre for Skill Development & Training, All India Management Association (AIMA) from 28th to 31st Jan. 2014.
  • A valedictory function was organised on 16th Jan. 2014 for forty six trainees of CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Ltd.) comprising of Junior Engineers (Elect.), Junior Engineers (RS) & Technicians (Elect.) and for sixteen trainees of JMRC (Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation) comprising of Junior Engineers (RS), Technicians (RS) & Maintainers (Elect.) on completion of training.
  • One Week (Six days) customised training on “Foundation course on Rolling Stock” was organised from 06th Jan. 2014 to 11th Jan. 2014 for twenty nos. of executives of Infotech.
  • In order to develop team building spirit and to encourage extra curricular activities amongst the trainees, DMRC Training Institute organised a cricket match on 07th Jan. 2014 among players selected from different batches undergoing training in the Training Institute. Two teams comprising of trainees of Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL) / Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (JMRC) and DMRC were formed. The match was played in true spirit of competitiveness and was won by CMRL/JMRC XI. Principal/Trg. Instt. distributed prizes to the players of winning team, man of the match, scorers and umpires.
