Parking

You can park your vehicle at all the staions of Line I i.e. (Shahdara - Rithala) and Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station. The details of the areas available for parking is as follow.

TICKET OPTIONS & COST OF TRAVEL ON THE METRO

  • Token:
    • All tokens are single journey tokens that are valid only for a one way journey.
    • The minimum cost of travelling on the Metro is Rs 6/-.
    • The maximum cost of travelling on the Metro is Rs 22/-.
    • The value of the token will depend on the destination.
    • It is valid only till the day of purchase.
    • Token fare can be calculated by using the Fare Calculator or viewing the Fare Chart from this link-
      Delhi Metro Rail

  • Travel Card (Smart Card):
    • It is a most convenient option for the frequent commuter.
    • A stored value card, Travel Cards or Smart Cards are available in the denominations of Rs. 50/-and can be recharged in a multiples of Rs 50/- to a maximum limit of Rs. 800/-.
    • Security Deposit of Rs 50/- payable at purchase (refundable on return of card).
    • It is valid for one year from the date of purchase or one year from the date of recharge whichever is later.
    • There is no extra charge on renewal of Smart Card.
    • Ticket Reading Machines are available at all Metro Stations. This facility helps commuters to check the balance on their Smart Card.

  • Tourist Card:
    • This card is for unlimited travel over short periods.
    • There are two kinds of cards - 1 day and 3 day.
    • Value of 1-Day Card: Rs 70
    • Value of 3-Day Card: Rs 200
    • Security Deposit of Rs 50/- payable at purchase (refundable on return of card).

FEEDER BUSES

There are two types of Feeder Buses available to Delhi Metro stations. While one service is run entirely by private operators, DMRC owns buses for the other service and monitors their operations. Feeder buses are currently operating on the following routes:

New Routes can only be introduced with the approval of the State Transport Authorities (STA)

Features of the Feeder Buses

  • Minimum fare Rs. 5 and Maximum Fare Rs. 8
  • The buses can seat 18 to 20 people with 10 persons standing.
  • They will be environmentally friendly with CNG engine Bharat Stage III buses. Aesthetics and safety are important features.
  • Feeder buses will have Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment for real time tracking, online alerts etc
  • Control centers will be set up to monitor the movement of vehicles and will have traffic managers, traffic inspectors and Control Room Operators.
  • A complaint book will be there in every bus - Zero tolerance of complaints.
  • A Public Address System will be there in every bus.
  • All buses will be fan cooled.
  • First Aid box and Fire extinguisher will be there in every bus. Two stop buttons have been installed for passengers through which they can inform driver about the stoppage.

SEAT RESERVATION

By the nature of its operation, compartments are not reserved for any category or person because of a large inflow and outflow of passengers at all stations at regular intervals. However, some seats have been reserved forthe elderly persons, handicapped persons and ladies in each compartment.
