Recruitment of Executive Trainees (Civil/Electrical/Signal & Telecom/Architech) for Delhi and Bangalore metros
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), a Joint Venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail based Mass Rapid transit System for Delhi.
Applications are invited from dynamic and result oriented Engineers (Civil, Electrical, and Electronics), having a minimum of 70% marks in B.Tech/B.E examination (in respective disciplines) and Architects having a minimum of 60% marks in B.Arch, from AICTE recognized Institutes/Universities, for recruitment in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. as Executive Trainee.

Notes:
- All the posts are technical posts and therefore no reservation for physically handicapped candidates is applicable. The medical standards for these posts is of 'Executive/Technical' level, details of which can be seen on our website.
- The written examination shall be held in Delhi only. The candidates shall be advised well in time.
Age: Not more than 28 years as on 01/01/08, with 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC.
Training: Selected candidates will be sent for one year 'Post Graduate Diploma Course' in "Metro Technology and Management" at IIT/Delhi. During the above course, the trainees will be paid a stipend of Rs. 20000/- p.m. Accommodation facility for self only will be arranged by DMRC during the period of the course at IIT/Delhi.
Induction: On successful completion of the course, the trainees will be inducted as Assistant Manager in DMRC in IDA pay scale Rs.11000-350-15200/- (likely to be revised based on second Pay Committee's report for IDA pay scales). Those opting for BMRCL will be absorbed as Assistant Manager in CDA pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 (likely to be revised based on 6th Pay Commission's report for CDA pay scales). Trainees who secure more than 60% marks during the PG Diploma Course will be granted two advance increments in Assistant Manager's grade, while those who secure less than 60% marks will be granted only one advance increment at the time of induction. Such of candidates who do not complete the course or do not secure the minimum pass marks in the PG Diploma course at IIT/Delhi will not be inducted in DMRC. They will have to pay a bond amount of Rs. 5 Lakhs to DMRC towards training cost. Those candidates who successfully complete the course but do not join DMRC/ BMRCL, their candidature will lapse and they will also have to pay an amount of Rs. 5 Lakhs to DMRC as bond amount.
Seniority: The inter-se seniority of the executive trainees in the concerned discipline at Assistant Manager level shall be decided based on the overall performance at the Post Graduate Diploma Course at IIT/Delhi. Their seniority upon absorption will count retrospectively from the date of start of the course at IIT/Delhi.
Probation: After induction as Assistant Manager, they will be on probation for a period of two years. After successful completion of probation, they will be confirmed.
Bond & Notice Period time: Before joining the course, they will have to execute a bond of Rs. 5 Lakh to serve DMRC/ BMRCL for a period of five years (This is inclusive of the PG Diploma course period of one year). They will also have to give a notice period of three months if they want to leave DMRC/BMRCL at any point of time during bond period.

No extension for joining will be permitted to the selected candidate, as the course is to commence on 28/07/2008 sharp.
Eligible and willing candidates fulfilling the above mentioned eligibility criteria may send their filled in application form latest by 23/06/2008 in the format enclosed at the below mentioned address. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
Fees: The candidates will have to enclose a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- for General & OBC candidates and for Rs.50/- for SC candidates (for processing cost only) along with application form drawn in favour of DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED, payable at New Delhi indicating on the reverse of the DD, their name & address, telephone no., if any. Demand Drafts payable at locations other than Delhi / New Delhi will not be accepted. MO/PO or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. Candidates are advised to check the details of Demand Draft carefully before enclosing it with the application Form. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their demand draft and application form for future reference. They should also keep sufficient numbers of copies of the same Photograph in reserve for future use, which they are pasting in the application form. The photograph should not be more than six months old. Incomplete applications or applications received without demand draft or received after the due date will be summarily rejected. DMRC will not be responsible for any postal delay/ loss in transit. No request in this regard will be entertained.
