Metro Stations To Sell Trade Fair Tickets From 14th Nevember
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start selling India International Trade Fair (IITF) entry tickets for Business Days (14th Nov to 18th Nov 2010)
from Sunday i.e. 14th November 2010 (Sunday) from terminal and interchange stations of all lines i.e, Rithala, Dilshad Garden, Jahangirpuri, HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sec-21, Anand Vihar, Yamuna Bank, Central Secretariat, Sarita Vihar, Inderlok, Mundka, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk Metro station and Pragati Maidan Metro Station
However, the sale of IITF entry tickets for general public days will start from Friday, 19th
November 2010 at 132 Metro stations currently under operation. These tickets can be purchased from Customer Care Centres at all Metro stations. The IITF Business days & General days entry tickets at Metro stations will be priced as under:
Business Days (14th Nov to 18th Nov 2010) = 400
General Days (19th Nov to 27th Nov 2010) =
The IITF tickets will be sold from stations only for the same day as the tickets are day specific only and no advance tickets will be available for sale. The DMRC is expecting massive crowds to use the Pragati Maidan Metro station and therefore additional ticket counters will be opened at Pragati Maidan. On business days (between 19th to 27th November 2010) 24 manual ticket counters will be opened at Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
Additional DMRC officers & staff, customer facilitation agents and security staff will also be deployed at all stations.
During last year`s trade fair, average daily footfall (Entry/Exit) of Pragati Maidan Metro station was approx. one lakh passengers per day.
