Anand Vihar - Vaishali Section To Open For Passenger Services From 14th July 2011
The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) Mr. R.K. Kardam today inspected the 2.5 kilometers Anand Vihar – Vaishali section of the Delhi Metro Project. This section has stations at Vaishali & Kaushambi and the section is fully elevated.
Director (Project) Mr. Kumar Keshav, Director (Operation) Mr. Raj Kumar, Director (Electrical) Mr. Satish Kumar and Director (Rolling Stock) Mr. H. S. Anand from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation accompanied the CMRS during the inspection.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is expecting the formal clearance for opening this section for passenger operation by tomorrow i.e 13th July, 2011 and it is proposed to open this section for commercial operations for the public from 14th July, 2011.
Passenger services will start simultaneously from Anand Vihar (for going towards Vaishali) and Vaishali (for going towards Dwarka) Metro stations at 7:00 AM on 14th July 2011. However, from 15th July 2011, the normal train services will continue i.e train services will commence at 06:00 AM from Vaishali Metro station. Similarly, the last train from Vaishali Metro station will leave at 11:00 PM for going towards Dwarka.AD / CPRO / DMRC
