DMRC To Extend Metro Services To Dwarka Sector 21
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will extend its Metro train services from Dwarka Sector 9 to Dwarka Sector 21 from 30th October 2010, thereby, adding another 2.76 kilometers to its network. This 2.76 kms stretch consists of two stations namely, Dwarka Sector 8 and Dwarka Sector 21.
The Metro train services presently available on Line 3 (from NOIDA to Dwarka Sector 9) and Line 4 (from Anand Vihar to Dwarka Sector 9) will be extended to Dwarka Sector 8 and Dwarka Sector 21 Metro Stations by Saturday.
With this, the DMRC will have a total operational Metro network of approximately 156 kilometers with 132 Metro Stations. As usual, the commuters will continue to find every alternate train going to NOIDA and Anand Vihar from Yamuna Bank Metro Station.
At present, 58 Metro trains are catering to the operational requirements on Line 3 (NOIDA to Dwarka Sector 9) and Line 4 (Anand Vihar to Dwarka Sector 9). The extension of Metro services till Dwarka Sector 21 will help the people coming from the residential colonies of Dwarka Sector 8 and Dwarka Sector 21.
