Role of DMRC vis-a-vis Rapid Metro
Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited has authorized DMRC to act as Metro
Rail Administrator ("MRA") for Operations & Maintenance activities. DMRC's role is to
ensure smooth functioning of Rapid Metro's i.e. the complete O&M activity with respect
to said metro lines including train operations and station operations.
DMRC's primary responsibility is to look after Operations & Maintenance activities which
are broadly defined hereunder.
Operations
A. Train Operations – formulation and implementation of train operation plan including time table, crew scheduling, etc.
B. Station Management – management of stations for day to day operations.
C. Depot Operations - operation of the depot as per depot operating procedure.
D. Working of Operation Control Center (OCC) – Operation of OCC through the working order.
Maintenance
Maintenance and upkeep the entire equipment as is and/or are essential for the running
of the said metro lines. More particularly including rolling stock, S&T, E&M, Traction, IT
equipment so as to keep them in good condition. All other preventive, as well as
statutory maintenance required for the continued safe operation.
