Metro Stations to Sell Trade Fair Tickets From 14th November
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start selling India International Trade Fair (IITF) entry tickets for Business Days (14th Nov to 18th Nov 2011)
from Monday i.e. 14th November 2011 from 26 Metro stations. These stations are:
Rithala, Dilshad Garden, Jahangirpuri, HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre, , Anand Vihar, Central Secretariat, Inderlok, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba, Saket, MG Road, Noida Sec-14, Vaishali, Rajori Garden, Janakpuri West, Dwarka Mor, Dwarka Sec-9, Mundka, Nangloi, Peeragrahi, Punjabi Bagh, Badarpur, Govindpuri, and Lajpat Nagar Metro station.
However, the sale of IITF entry tickets for general public days (19th Nov to 27th Nov 2011)
will start from Saturday, 19th November 2011 at all the Metro stations including Airport Line.
These tickets can be purchased from Customer Care Centres at all Metro stations from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM on weekdays (Mon- Fri) and from 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM on weekends (Sat/Sun).
The IITF Business days & General days entry tickets at Metro stations will be priced as under:
Business Days (14th Nov to 18th Nov 2011) =400
General Days (19th Nov to 27th Nov 2011)
The IITF tickets will be sold from stations only for the same day as the tickets are day specific only and no advance tickets will be available for sale. The DMRC is expecting massive crowds to use the Pragati Maidan Metro station and therefore additional ticket counters will be opened at Pragati Maidan Metro station. Additional DMRC officers & staff, customer facilitation agents and security staff will also be deployed at all stations.
During last year`s trade fair, average daily footfall (Entry/Exit) of Pragati Maidan Metro station was approx. one lakh passengers per day.
